My book The Journal of Wong Ming-Chung takes place at first in China in 1851, and when Wong goes on a boat to California the setting changes to California and the year is 1852.
Matilda Bone takes place in medieval times. I know this because in the story, Matilda is sent to live with Peg the bonesetter which i know from prior knowledge to have taken place then. Also, another character is a bloodletter which i also know was believed to even out humors, bodily fluids, if someone was sick then.
My book is in the 1860`s ,and the girl that is telling the story Sarah lives in New York and is going to North Carolina. I know this because she is keeping a journal and she is telling what happens to her daily. Sarah is trying to get a job and at the same time she is also trying to find a husband.

Francie and Neely collect scrap metal to cash in; their mother, Katie Nolan, is a dish-scrubber, and their father, Johnny Nolan, works an inconsistent job as a singing waiter.
My story, “look to the hills”, took place in 1763 and this was a time of slaves and slaves were treated horrible and if my story and my girl, Zettie would have been born at a later date such as 1980s there wouldn’t have been slavery and she wouldn’t of had the same events as she went through.

My book: Anastasia The Last Grand Duchess takes place in Russia from 1914 to 1918. Anastasia basically talks about everything that goes on in her life. For example, in 1915 her father (the leader of Russia) declares war against Germany and has to go to the military base to talk to the commander and chief and the soldiers. She vents a lot about this as well as her studies which she thinks are unimportant.
"Number The Stars" by Lois Lowry takes place in the 1900s during world war I and world war II. The story takes place in Denmark. This affected the characters in the story because this was one of the countries where the Germans were able to take over. This meant that there was more of a chance that the Jewish people living there would be captured or punished. Some of the characters in this story were Jewish. The other main characters were best friends of these Jewish people and attempting to keep them safe. Since they lived in this time period, they had to go through tough times of livng under the rule of German soldiers.
My book "one eye laughing, the other weeping" takes place in Vienna, Austria in 1938 during the holocaust. And the main character Julie is a Jewish girl who eventually gets sent to live with her Aunt and Uncle in America so she won't be in danger anymore.

The Devil's Arithmetic" by Jane Yolen. My book is about a girl, Hannah who gets sent to the past when she allowed to drink wine she was at a Passover. After she drank the wine, (as part of the tradition) she was to give some of it to their god, Elijah. When she went to open the door and she was immediately sent back into the past. After that she awoke in her aunt's body. She was to then attend a wedding where the German soldiers came to capture them. When sent to the concentration camp, everyone was forced to shave their head of hair. After that, they were to get a tattoo on their arms resembling their new names. After that, they had to take off their current clothing and get into raggedy smelly ones. As they struggle to survive, Hannah or better known as Chaya (her Jewish name). To help her survive, she meets a 10 year old girl, Rivka. When she goes back to the present, she finds out that she is her aunt. The soldiers "got rid of" those who couldn't work because of their health condition. Chaya took place or Rivka when the soldiers saw that one of the two were coughing. When Chaya is sent into Lilith's cave (a furnace) she goes back into the present and explains to her aunt Eva (Rivka) everything she had seen when she fainted.
My book is called "Crispin" and it's about a 13-year-old boy way back in 1377 in England. This time period was called the middle Ages. Crispin is a peasant and he recently suffered a loss of his mother. Now, he has absolutely nothing left. He is falsely accused of a crime and people are trying to kill him as a punishment. With nothing to leave behind, Crispin makes a run for his life across the English country side.
elizebeths father is tying to get enough money to build the house and get there son over in america because they had to leave him bhind do to his poor imune system but sarah has found a new friend to play with in the meen time.

She then realizes that she really needs to put herself in their shoes, to finally figure out that how she thinks and acts is completely off.

The officers name is Barry Trent and the dogs name is Caesar. The problem in this book is that fifteen sheeps and lambs have been killed on Sid Greave's land. So the suspicion falls onto Caesar. So his owner Barry Trent tries to prove that Caesar is innocent. But later on while they are unravling this case the other officers find more evidence that Caesar has killed the livestock. So Barry's superiors want his dog to be destroyed. Then finally his innocence is finally proven.

My book, Miles' Song takes place during when slavery was going on in 1851. This is very important because Miles is a 12 year old slave. He works on the Tillary plantation in the slave owner's house, but later gets sold to a different plantation.

She then realizes that she really needs to put herself in their shoes, to finally figure out that how she thinks and acts is completely off.

The officers name is Barry Trent and the dogs name is Caesar. The problem in this book is that fifteen sheeps and lambs have been killed on Sid Greave's land. So the suspicion falls onto Caesar. So his owner Barry Trent tries to prove that Caesar is innocent. But later on while they are unravling this case the other officers find more evidence that Caesar has killed the livestock. So Barry's superiors want his dog to be destroyed. Then finally his innocence is finally proven.
