In this book not all perople were rich so they mostly dressed in rags which wasent uncommon unless you were top of the rich class, in which case you wore colorful clothes and lots of make-up. If you were middle class it wasent really rags but it was kind of a mix between clothes and rags.

In the novel Or Give Me Death the charecters wore hand me downs, and raggety clothes so as you can see they weren't very rich. But alot of people in the 1800's weren't. They might of not been rich as in money but they were sure rich in spirit. The little girl was sweet hearted and also helped her little brother alot and help escaped from there crazy, illed mother.

In my book Kristina is wealthy but she doesn't dress like it. Since Kristina was to be brought up as a prince she tends to dress like one sometimes as well. When riding a horse she would sneak into the stables dressed as a boy just so she could ride normally. Then on a regular basis her nails would be dirty her clothes like peasants and not royal. Also her shoes would be flat like a boys. She didn't care what she wore but her mother did becasue her mother and everyone else in the castle dressed formally while she dressed like a peasent. No one really mentioned it to her except her mother whenever she saw her and even in letters.

During the beginning of my book, the characters are dressed in their best sunday clothes including: nice shoes, dress pants, and a dress. They are in these clothes because its their first day of school and their mother insists they wear it.

In my book Bella at midnight the characters that are first introduced are peasents, so the dress very "low class" like. When the introduce the nobles they ware more eligant and fine clothes. Bella wears her peasent clothes most of the book but, when she goes to a partey she dresses in very fancy dress and assessores.

My book about Marie Antoinette, she wears violet blue satin dresses with French lace sleeves which are called engageantes. Marie's Hair were in high buns when she was in her slumber she has to have a woodblock to preserve her hair so it was not ruined. However, Marie Antoinette's wardrobe changed in various ways. She has different outfits for different occasions. Marie Antoinette had to look her best everywhere she went.

In "Where Have All the Flowers Gone", people mostly dress casually. However, girls aren't allowed to wear pants at Molly's school because it's considered un-ladylike. Bell bottom jeans and headbands are often worn.

In the Devil's Arithmetic, the main character is taken to to the past when she was at a Passover and getting ready to open the door for Elijah. She and everyone else she had met in the hut were wearing "peasent" clothing. Even though she thought she had fainted and seen a dream, she went to play along with it until she would "wake up". She was told to get ready for wedding and the person who was her cousin said that the sailor suit she had pulled out to wear was somthing everyone at the wedding will be jelous of. When Hannah heard this, she thought it was some sort of a joke. She was given a dress which she commented to be somthing woren at a halloween party and this was supposed to be the most pretty dress a person at the wedding would wear, even amungst the bride. After arrival at the wedding, the Nazi solders came to capture them and send them to the concentration camps. When arriving there Hannah realised how she had thought her current dress to be a halloween coustume when she was atleast able to get somthing that looked like a dress from the pile of clothing she to choose from.

In "Thursday's Child" the characters are living during the Great Depression so the Flute family basically wear the same couple of things every day.For example, Harper (the main character) has a sundress and a pair of boots that she wears.(even onn the cover of the book)

My book is “So Far From Home” . The story takes place in 1847 .The clothing back then was very unique and different from today. For example they wore long thin materials usually dress like with plain colors such as white and tan.
