When does the story you are reading take place? How does it impact your characters?

Location, Location, Location

What are the customs and tradtions of your time period and how do they play a role in the novel you are reading? Are they customs and traditions that are practiced today? Did they orginate during that time period or because of that time period?

Language

How is the language different in your novel? How does it reflect the time period of the novel?

Dress

How is clothing described in your book? What type of dress (clothing) the characters wear?

Food

Is food a reoccuring theme in your book? How is it significant to the time period? Be sure to include the title of your book!

Rich vs. Poor

What relationship is presented between the rich and the poor in your book? Discuss the haves vs. the have nots. If no relationship exists, do not select this blog entry. Be sure to include the title of your book!
